ABOUT / HISTORY.
Relocating from Denhams Beach in 1970 the current Batemans Bay Surf Life Saving Club was re-established at Malua Bay, 13kms south from Batemans Bay.
This move allowed the continuation of service to our local beaches and the wider community by dedicated men and women.
Batemans Bay Surf Life Saving Club services Malua Bay beach on weekends and public holidays over the summer, and throughout the year for emergency call-outs, assisting Marine Rescue, SES & Police in rescue situations. With several of our members receiving national recognition for their rescue efforts.
Our members receive the highest quality training from within the Club and from trainers within the Far South Coast Branch of Surf Life Saving and from a State and National level. This training is available to anyone who becomes a member.
We also have several surf boat crews, successful at State and National levels, and a very active ski paddlers group. For the new season, we also have new IRB racing crews that have already proven to be very successful.
